Our mission is to create the next generation of tech workers by providing upskilling opportunities into cutting-edge technologies through education.

Vision

Finding a career in tech doesn’t have to be intimidating. Our goal is to establish new tech communities by providing resources and education that empowers the everyday skilled worker and introduces them to careers in tech and Web3.

The Team

Alana Whitaker, Co-Founder

Alana “AfroButterfly” Whitaker is a retired RN turned Web3 educator. She found her passion in technology by working as an ICU registered nurse for 13 years at world renowned hospitals. 

Alana is Co-Founder of Digital Greenbook – a Web3 EdTech startup dedicated to teaching women, children and elderly fun ways to interact with tech.

Alana is also Co-Founder of Blue Collar To The Blockchain. A workforce tech initiative dedicated to pipelining talent into in demand careers in tech.

Alana is also Blacks In Technology’s Jacksonville chapter lead. BIT is a 25,000 member global organization.

Fred Brandon, Co-Founder

As a technologist with over 20 years of IT experience, Fred has developed solutions and spoken at various venues internationally. He has consulted with various organizations in both the public and private sector on an array of areas including business automation, blockchain, travel, logistics, content management, and Microsoft 365 training.

He currently helps companies and people understand Web3 which includes blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFTs, and the Metaverse. His best-selling book, Adopting Blockchain and Cryptocurrency: Embracing a Digital Future, continues to be a great resource for introduction into the blockchain space. Now, as the Founder of the Fred Brandon FLAMES Foundation, he focuses on helping Black and Brown communities remain competitive in the workforce through education in technology and financial literacy.
